    Sturgill cleared the parking lot and laid one on the football field at Wise. Ryan Adkins could hammer the hull off a baseball too.

    Trevor Ruth had one of the guttiest performances I've ever seen. He pitched the State Semi-finals and State Finals in the same day and got the W's in both games! That was in '91. I still remember when the last out was made and he dropped to his knees in pure exhaustion. I was a kid at the time but watching that made me realize what it took to be a Kelly Indian Baseball Player.

    Don't forget the Hollyfield guy and Bryan Sturgill from Pound. They both were excellent pitchers...Sturgill played at Carson Newman.
